Hello Everyone!
We are wrapping up our work for 2024 and reflecting on how fortunate we are to be doing this work. This year we participated in the Midwestern Hemp Research Collaborative and engaged with many hemp farmers and researchers across the region. It was exhilarating to trial hemp varieties for cannabinoid production for the University of Wisconsin and trial fiber varieties for Michigan State University. We learned a lot and plan on introducing new strains and products in 2025, so stay tuned!
We also hosted three young adults through our paid supportive job training internships in collaboration with Ozone House in Ypsilanti. During their time at the farm, they learned all about regenerative agriculture including Biodynamic beekeeping, how to create and use biologically-active compost, and how to collect data for farm research. We will continue and expand these opportunities as our farm continues to develop.
In the meantime, our 2024 crop of our two classic strains – Queen Dream and Cherry Wine – are now available. We also have a bit of our 2023 crop left and you can get ½ ounces for more than 50% off. We’re calling it our $23 for 2023 sale!
